John Michael Alfis, age 68, of Mooresville, NC ( formerly of Forked River, NJ) died on March 26, 2017 with his children by his side. Born in Teaneck NJ , he was raised in New Milford, NJ, spent his summers in Old Forge, PA with his grandparents and relatives. He loved women, cars, boats, motorhomes, rescuing dogs, collecting tractors, and trains. He was a home builder on the Jersey Shore, a real estate investor throughout NJ and NC. Since retiring, he enjoyed spending summers at Carolina Beach with his youngest daughter Melissa. Survivors include his son, John Alfis (Karen) of Lehighton, PA; his daughters, Carol Alfis (Ann) of New Jersey, Lisa Alfis (Bruce) of Williamstown,NJ, Janis Alfis-Linnehan of Mooresville, NC, Melissa Sullivan of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlin and Troy; his beloved dogs, Odie and Molly; his business partner and close friend Steve Hebert of Mooresville, NC. HIS MOTTO WAS: THE MAN WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS!
Family will receive friends 12pm -2pm on Saturday April 1, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home. Service to follow in Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Melissa Sullivan Education Fund or Popcorn Park Zoo located in Lacey twp, NJ.
